Job Description

Qualifications:

Teaching candidates will be expected to plan for highly engaging inperson learning instruction with clear daily learning objectives for the purpose of student credit recovery. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Canvas and designing content for credit recovery using Canvas.

Teaching candidates must be able to monitor student progress and communicate progress with the student and parents while assisting with contentrelated support as needed.

Candidates must hold avalid 68 Missouri teaching certificationin the required content area for the duration of the summer program for all positions.

Dates of Summer Learning include:

  • Staff PD and Workdays on June 5thJune 6th 2025
  • Student learning from June 9thJuly 3rd 2025
  • Contract Time MonThurs 7:45am12:15pm
  • NO FRIDAYS & No School June 19th (Juneteenth observed)
  • Staff are paid for days worked/hourly; no pay for days not worked
  • Prior to June 5th each site will have staff meetings and collaborative planning time for up to an additional 6 hours of pay to be determined by the Administrative Intern
  • Positions are contingent upon enrollment

Compensation:

  • The School District of University City offers a competitive salary of $30$32/hr for the summerTeacher

Pay Dates:

  • Days worked June 5thJune 12th will be paid onJune 20th
  • Days worked June 16thJuly 3rd will be paid onJuly 11th

Hiring Timeline:

  • Open until filled
  • Submitted for board approval April 2025
