Job Description

Position: Head of Human Resources

Who we are

The NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) is IIM Bangalores startup hub and incubation centre. The centre is structured as a section8 notforprofit entity.

NSRCELs mission is to support ventures in the startup ecosystem that demonstrate potential to create significant economic and societal impact. This financial year alone NSRCEL has engaged with 1106 ventures through 13 unique program tracks across 82 towns in the country.

NSRCEL is supported by Department of Science and Technology and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. NSRCEL has partners with corporates like Alstom Capgemini Goldman Sachs Kotak Mahindra Bank Maruti Suzuki Pernod Ricard India Foundation and SBI Foundation among others to support idea stage and earlyrevenue stage entrepreneurs and startups in focussed themes of climatetech women entrepreneurship and social impact.


What you will be doing

This role will head the people function of NSRCEL. Will be largely responsible for the organisation capacity building L&D strategic planning performance management and compensation strategy employee engagement and culture building. Be part of the leadership team create strategic direction especially in our young fast growing amorphous context and be confidante to the other leaders


Key Responsibilities
  1. Capacity building & Employee Lifecycle Management
    1. Manage headcount planning hiring needs and the talent acquisition process ensuring a seamless recruitment process.
    2. Oversee the employee lifecycle processes and strategies including onboarding performance appraisals career progression and exit management.
    3. Collaborate with leadership to design and implement talent retention strategies.
  2. Learning & Development (L&D)
    1. Design and implement L&D strategies and plans tailored to different roles within the organisation.
    2. Develop leadership training programs to nurture emerging leaders within NSRCEL.
    3. Curate and execute training for incubation managers ensuring they are equipped with the right skills and knowledge.
  3. Employee Engagement Culture Building & Employer Branding
    1. Design and drive employee engagement initiatives that align with the core values of NSRCEL.
    2. Build and strengthen NSRCELs employer brand to attract and retain top talent.
    3. Foster a culture of collaboration inclusivity and innovation within the organisation.
    4. Develop internal communication strategies to enhance workplace culture and transparency.
    5. Lead initiatives that reinforce a strong organisational culture and create a positive work environment.
  4. Performance Management Compensation & Organisational Development
    1. Implement and manage the performance appraisal process to ensure continuous feedback and growth.
    2. Monitor and control HRrelated financials including compensation benefits and L&D investments ensuring optimal ROI.
    3. Work closely with leadership to create competitive compensation and benefits structures.
    4. Support organisational development by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best HR practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  5. Leadership Collaboration & Strategic HR Planning
    1. Work closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
    2. Provide strategic HR insights and recommendations to drive organisational success.
    3. Support leadership in fostering a highperformance culture and driving change management initiatives.


Requirements

What you will need to bring to the table

You will ideally have:

  • Masters degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in HR roles with a focus on talent management L&D and employee engagement people and culture.
  • Experience in fastpaced highgrowth environments preferably in startups or incubators.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices labour laws and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive HR strategies aligned with business goals.
