We are seeking a Vice President (VP) Technology & Artificial Intelligence Media to join our growing team to help us realize this vision and drive our industry forward someone who understands the technology sector knows how to reach a variety of business audiences and has an appetite to own and drive the kinds of integrated communications marketing campaigns that win awards.
This is no ordinary technology role the remit requires more of a traditional corporate communications mindset paired with a high level of sector experience in technology and artificial intelligence (AI). Were seeking someone who understands executive positioning business media and the conference/event landscape. We want a trusted advisor who can shape corporate reputation strategies against the everchanging technology landscape.

The role:
You will develop corporate reputation and executive positioning strategies on behalf of some of our top technology and AI clients. You will learn Edelmans various Communications Marketing processes/approaches including public engagement message workshops master narrative assignments brand engagement social media campaigns and stakeholder mapping exercises and be able to support integrated teams in the of these processes for clients. You will be responsible for the supervision of account work performed by junior staff demonstrating the ability to manage up as well as manage across with peers and mentor account team members.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervising staff by mentoring motivating and coaching
- Managing projects for multiple clients from concept to completion by anticipating challenges troubleshooting problems proposing solutions offering client counsel overseeing quality and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
- Serve as daily client contact addressing timely client issues thoughtfully and effectively
- Demonstrating tactical and strategic knowledge of integrated Communications Marketing principles and skills and contributing to the creation of communications marketing plans to meet client objectives
- Driving media relations including creating and driving outreach plans media strategy and message development
- Applying key client information to work including general business strategy industry trends and issues products/services key opinion leaders customers and competitors
- Demonstrating practical understanding of visual communications multimedia social media and the digital landscape and how to incorporate these into client programs
- Organically grow business by introducing clients to new capabilities
- Drive new business growth by identifying prospects and leading proposals
- Collaborate with senior leadership in identifying and developing opportunities for account growth
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in Marketing Communications and/or related fields
- A Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have experience and passion for working in the corporate communications space most preferably with enterprise/B2B technology and AIfocused clients
- Have relationships with business and national news media and tech and AI trade media
- Excellent storytelling skills and ability to provide sound levelappropriate media counsel with all levels of client contacts
- Have managed the budgets and team on sizable pieces of business to achieve client goals
- Have written strategic media plans and a variety of media materials with limited oversight
- Proven account management and team leadership skills
- Keen interest and high awareness of current events
- Solutionsoriented mindset
$95000 $165000 a year

An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance travel requirements revenuebased metrics any contractual agreements and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEHs total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses a Paid Time Off policy and regionspecific benefits.
