POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Supervisor will oversee the Quality Inspectors to ensure Rosenbauers high quality standards are met. This includes managing the scheduling mentoring and monitoring the performance of Quality Inspectors as well as ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauers Mission Vision and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

1. Supervise and mentor Quality Inspectors providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
2. Schedule and coordinated inspection activities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
3. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to Quality Inspectors on their performance.
4. Oversee inprocess and final inspection referencing RMN Quality Management System Process OP 850 and customer build specifications.
5. Ensure truck ship duties are performed according to RMN Quality Management System Process 852.
6. Manage Commercial Chassis checkin duties referencing RMN Quality Management System Process 840.
7. Audit inspection reports and checklists to verify resolution of findings.
8. Ensure inspection reports and checklists to verify resolution of findings.
9. Ensure inspections meet RMN Engineering and NFPA requirements.
10. Maintain a thorough understanding of the ISO 9001 International Standard and demonstrate conformity.
11. Gathering reporting and analyzing data as part of continuous improvement program.
12. Sustain the Quality management System withthe required departmental standards.
13. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

K

Knowledge Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma/GED.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role required.
• 8 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude required.
• Knowledge of all fire truck systems and functions preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System preferred.

Language:

• Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Able to communicate effectively and accurately both verbally and through detailed technical writing.

Math:

• Able to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers fractions and decimals.

Computer:

• Able to work within or learn how to work within programs like Microsoft Suite AutoCAD SolidWorks Drive Works Sigma NEST.

• Able to work professionally with all levels of the Rosenbauer organization customers and vendors.
• Able to lead and supervisor a team effectively.
• Able to maintain detailed and accurate records.
• Able to identify quality issues recognize changes within the production process and adjust as needed.
• Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
• Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
