Are you passionate about making a real difference in someones life As an Adult Living Support Worker youll be a key part of the journey of an individual with diverse abilitieshelping them navigate daily life build skills and feel connected to their community.
What Youll Do
- Daily Living Support Help with personal care hygiene and everyday tasks.
- Behavioral Support Follow and implement the behavioral plan designed by the care team.
- Health & Safety Administer medications and respond to medical needs including seizure protocols.
- Community Engagement Support outings appointments and recreational activities.
- Home & Life Skills Cook shop clean and assist with home and yard maintenance.
- StrengthsBased Approach Focus on the cando and help build confidence and independence.

What You Bring
- Diploma in Human or Social services or other related field
- 1year recent experience with individuals with moderate to severe behavioural and developmental diverse abilities
- Or a combination of education training and experience.

- Provide life skills support at home & in the community
- Follow behavioral plans & use appropriate interventions
- Teach coping techniques & emotional regulation
- Handle crisis situations & aggressive behaviors

- Create clientfocused plans & schedules
- Manage conflict & documentation effectively
- Keep a home running shopping cleaning cooking & budgeting

- Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License safe driving record
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
- Unionized position with a 1.85 union dues deduction
- The following training is required and provided to the successful candidate free of charge. Existing certification is an asset: First Aid Mandt SafeTALK Safe Food Handling Medication Management Privacy and Information Sharing AntiBullying and Harassment.
- Physical abilities to provide individuals with personal care and recreational activities indoors and outdoors.
PROGRAM: Crestline House
LOCATION: Kamloops BC
STATUS: PartTime
HOURS of WORK: 16 hours per week
SCHEDULE: Fridays and Saturdays 4 pm to 12 am
REPORTS TO: Crestline House Program Coordinator
COMPENSATION: $27.54 $31.61 per hour (Grid 11 as per collective agreement)
