Job Description
At Reach Industries we believe that scientists are solving some of the worlds most pressing challenges from combating climate change to developing vaccines and new treatments for diseases yet their tools are still poor. Our AI powered software platform Lumi automates operational data capture insights and processes in labs augmenting scientists so they can focus on the more creative aspects of their work. Lumi is versatile and is being applied across a wide range of life science industries including in biotech and pharma.
We are a startup where the early team have a strong background in various frontier technologies and a deep love for making science better. Weve already shipped a first version of the Lumi platform and weve received excellent feedback from early customers. We have very ambitious plans for Lumi ahead so now were looking for a Social Media intern for 3 months to become a vital part of our social strategy within our Marketing team.
About the Role
Were looking for a creative and techsavvy Social Media Intern with a passion for science AI and innovation to join our team. In this role you will help communicate complex scientific concepts to a broad audience through engaging social media content shortform videos and creative storytelling. If you love experimenting with new ideas staying ahead of digital trends and making science accessible we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage content for YouTube TikTok Instagram and other digital platforms.
- Film edit and produce shortform videos (Reels TikToks YouTube Shorts) to simplify and showcase scientific ideas.
- Develop and execute social media strategies to engage and grow our audience.
- Stay up to date with digital trends and experiment with new content formats.
- Write engaging captions scripts and short articles to support video and social media content.
- Track and analyse social media performance metrics to optimize engagement.
- Collaborate with scientists researchers and content creators to bring cuttingedge science to life.
What you bring
- Ideally a background in science technology engineering or a related field within Marketing and Social
- Practical experience using social media platforms (YouTube TikTok Instagram etc..
- Ability to film and edit shortform videos using tools like CapCut Adobe Premiere Pro or mobile editing apps.
- A strong interest in AI tech and innovation.
- A creative and proactive mindset with a willingness to experiment.
Nice to Haves
- Interest in science communication or marketing.
- Strong copywriting skills for crafting compelling captions and scripts.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and social media analytics tools.
