Technical Lead - Incubator Squad

As a Technical Lead / Engineering Manager (EM) for the Incubator Squad you will lead a team of 7 Frontend (FE) Backend (BE) and Fullstack (FS) developers while working closely with Product Managers Designers and Business stakeholders to define and iterate on earlystage products.

You will report directly to the VP of Engineering (VPE) and collaborate closely with the CTO and Product Leadership to ensure alignment with AppTweaks longterm vision.

Your Responsibilities:

People Management & Leadership

• Lead mentor and develop a crossfunctional team of approx. 7 engineers FE BE FS.

• Foster a collaborative and highperforming squad culture.

• Provide guidance on technical challenges and career growth.

• Ensure team wellbeing engagement and retention.

Technical & Product Strategy

• Align tech decisions with business goals balancing speed and scalability.

• Ensure strong architecture and code quality while enabling rapid experimentation.

• Collaborate with the CTO and Product Leadership to ensure alignment with the overall product strategy.

& Delivery

• Oversee squad planning roadmap and delivery of MVPs.

• Ensure smooth transitions from incubated projects to longterm squads.

• Optimize engineering processes to enhance speed and efficiency.

CrossSquad & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with VP Engineering CTO and Product Leadership to align squad goals with company priorities.

• Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across squads.

• Advocate for a failfast learnfast mindset in earlystage projects.

Requirements:

Musthave:

• You have a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science Engineering related field or equivalent in experience.

• You have 3 years of experience in engineering management or technical leadership.

• Strong technical background in either Frontend Backend or Fullstack development ReactRuby (on rails).

• Proven track record of leading crossfunctional teams and delivering software products.

• Experience in earlystage product development startups or innovation teams is a big plus!
