At Once Upon we turn memories into timeless photo books and since 2016 our journey has been one of rapid growth creativity and sustainability. In 2024 we achieved 25 revenue growth SEK 295 million in revenue and profitability for the second year in a row. And were just getting started. Our ambition is to keep growing quickly and sustainably while taking great care of both people and the planet.
As our current CFO is moving into a new internal role were now looking for our next strategic and businessoriented CFO. Ideally an experienced and forwardthinking leader whos passionate about connecting longterm visions with financial excellence. In this key role youll be a close partner to our CEO and a part of the executive leadership team collaborating to shape the future direction of Once Upon.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader to join a missiondriven company thats growing fast and building something meaningful on a global scale.
About the role
As CFO at Once Upon youll be responsible for setting the strategic direction of our Finance & Data department leading both the Head of Data & Insights and the Head of Accounting and Controlling in their responsibilities.
This is a key strategic role where finance is not only a support function but also a central driver of business development and sustainable growth. You will play a critical part in shaping our future by translating our vision and longterm strategy into concrete financial and nonfinancial goals while ensuring that every key decision is backed by robust data and insights.
You will also:
- Lead and develop strategic financial management and longterm planning
- Ensure alignment between financial goals and the company vision
- Drive strategic business development and identify valuecreating opportunities
- Prepare the company for future investment or ownership changes
- Lead budgeting forecasting and financial analysis
- Be a key spokesperson in investor and board dialogues
- Be an inspiring leader for our Finance & Data teams and the rest of the company
Your background
We believe that you are a senior leader with broad experience in strategic financial management and business development. Youre driven by the opportunity to contribute to a companys longterm vision have welldeveloped analytical skills and youre skilled at turning complex financial and data insights into clear action items.
You should also have:
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a CFO or equivalent senior leadership role
- A track record of leading financial functions in growing companies
- Experience with investment ownership transitions or exit processes
- Strong business acumen and the ability to link financial strategy and operations
- A relevant higher education in finance accounting or business
- Fluent language skills in both English and Swedish
Its a strong plus if you also have experience from more than one of the following:
- B2C companies on global markets
- Ecommerce or businesses driven by performance marketing
- Tech SaaS or datadriven product development
- Leading or developing a data/insights function
- Companies with a strong brand and sustainability focus
- Working with BCorp or other impactdriven business models

Location
Our headquarters are in Skellefte in northern Sweden. We also have offices in Pite Ume rnskldsvik and Stockholm. For the CFO role were looking for someone who wants to work from our office in Skellefte or Stockholm.
