Job Description

TO: All Nurses Brockton Public SchoolsFROM: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT:MIDDLE SCHOOL and HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER SCHOOL 2025 NURSESNurses are needed to work AT Brockton High School for the Academic Summer Programs High School Summer School and Rising 9th Humanities and STEM Camp. Positions are contingent upon funding and adequate student enrollment.Both programs will run from June 30th through July 31st with the exception of July 3rd and 4th .All nursing positions begin 15 minutes before the start of the program and end 15 minutes after the program closure.The programs and job related work hours are as follows:1.Humanities and STEM Camp (grade 8 8:15 11:452.Summer School (grades 912 7:15 11:45 Five 5 hours will be provided for preparation and documentation prior to program start. QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse 2.Experience as a school nurse or pediatric nurse3.Must have a current CPR First Aid and AED Certification 4.Excellent organizational communication and computer skills 5.Familiarity with the electronic health record School Nurse Assistance Program (SNAP) 6.Must commit to work the entire length of the program and/or job share and attend trainingDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Be available by phone to consult with site supervisors on medical situations during scheduled shifts 2. Review medical information of enrolled students3. Communicate with parents and site supervisors regarding medical conditions 4. Review medical information for vacation program and summer program enrollment 7. Adhere to required regulations for funded programs 8. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent 612 and/or program supervisors.Compensation: Stipend of $4000 plus BEA contractual hourly rate of $39.70 for up to 5 hours prior to the program start.
