The Learning & Development Specialist works closely with the VP of Learning & Development and plays a crucial role in designing developing and implementing training programs that empower employees across the enterprise to grow their skills enhance performance and advance their careers. This role focuses on ensuring that our workforce is wellequipped to meet the evolving needs of our customers and communities. The Learning & Development Specialist may participate in a variety of organizational special projects and/or initiatives as needed as well as provide administrative support for learning management systems.


Role Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains standardized training materials and supporting resources including course contents reference guides jobaids manuals and other resources as needed.
  • Collaborates on the development of engaging training programs incorporating adult learning principles into their design.
  • Facilitates highquality learning experiences to develop the knowledge skills and abilities of employees through multiple modalities including instructorled training online virtual and eLearning channels.
  • Contributes to the coordination and of a training calendar including its administration through multiple Learning Management Systems and test system environments.
  • Assesses learner needs and proficiency maintaining training records and reports
  • Maintains L&D curriculum and department contents on company intranet.
  • Collaborates with L&D manager and other business units to support emerging learning needs in support of organizational changes new products and systems
  • Maintains banking regulatory and organizational knowledge staying current with policies procedures and products
  • Performs a wide variety of additional support duties as requested or assigned.
Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of high school education or equivalent and 3 years of Retail or customer service experience preferably in Banking or Retail industries in a training/supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications including Outlook Word Excel and Power Point.
  • Proficiency with Horizon or similar core processing application with a strong aptitude for learning new applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills; experience delivering presentations
  • Ability to work effectively as a leader as well as part of a team.
  • Experience with course authoring software (Articulate Storyline) is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated commitment to internal and external customer service professional demeanor creative thinking and problem identification/resolution experience.
  • Excellent organizational interpersonal and business maturity skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends as requested.
  • Ability to travel to branch locations within our footprint as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
