Sr. Analyst Insurance Portfolio Management

Get to know the business

Our Chief Investment Office (CIO) team is responsible for the overall asset allocation and portfolio management of General Account assets supporting Corebridges policyholder liabilities across various lines of business. In addition to managing the overall portfolio the CIO team works with the core Life and Retirement business teams to develop the investment strategy to support their new business growth objectives. The CIO team is also responsible for articulating the overall investment strategy and risk positioning to key stakeholders such as the Board of Directors regulators and rating agencies.

About the role

The Corebridge CIO team is seeking a Senior Analyst to work as an integral member of the team to support investment analysis and portfolio management for the different Insurance lines of business. The candidate will provide analytical support to various functions performed by the CIO team including but not limited to:

  • Asset tracking and investment/data reporting
  • Pipeline consolidation and tracking across all asset managers
  • Portfolio management with respect to guidelines and compliance
  • Assisting in portfolio construction for potential new IM (Institutional Markets) transactions
  • Tracking of transactions vs. portfolios approved at pricing committees
  • Adhoc requests for inforce portfolio optimization
  • Participate in special projects such as yield enhancement and ALM optimization

This role requires someone who is comfortable with manipulating large data sets and being able to reconcile various sources of information. Being able to handle multiple assignments are under time pressure is expected. The successful candidate will work across asset management operations finance treasury actuarial and accounting teams on a continual basis to leverage and rationalize investment information.

  • Financial services experience preferably in fixed income asset management as well as the ability to deliver high quality investment reporting on a multitude of portfolio characteristics.
  • Experience working for an insurance company or a thirdparty asset manager GAAP and/or Statutory financial reporting experience a plus.
  • Experience with internal control or monitoring functions including Internal Audit Operation Risk Management Finance Control Unit ERM or willingness to interface with multiple internal controls groups preferred.
  • Strong written verbal and interpersonal communications skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts ideas and processes. Ability to present complex ideas/findings effectively to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Quick learner that is comfortable in fast pace deadlineoriented culture.
  • Flexible selfstarter inquisitive with problem solving skills.
  • Strong quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel PowerPoint. General knowledge of additional fixed income reporting systems preferably MicroStrategy and Bloomberg are a plus.

What we are looking for

  • Microsoft: Excel PowerPoint Power Pivot/BI.
  • 2 years of industry experience.
  • CFA or working toward preferred.
  • Experience in programming such as Microsoft Access VBA and/or working with Information Technology is a plus.

For positions based in Jersey City & New York the base salary range is $90000 $115000. In addition the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
