Job Specification
A leader in the Electrical Engineering field is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join their team in Cape Town.The main purpose of this position is to develop strong new relationships with customers and to bring in enquiries followup on quotations and successfully negotiate orders as well as maintain existing customer relationships and to develop new ones.
The duties of this position entail (Not Limited to):
Direct selling to customers and generating new sales leads.
New sales include: Generators Generator Diesel Services Repair/Refurbishment Services Generator Technical Services (Upgrades) and Parts.
Visit assigned customers according to planned calling schedules.
Prepare budgets estimated potential and planned profitability per customer.
Actively promoting the sales of Generators to existing customers and researching new market opportunities.
Obtain enquiries prepare quotations and follow up to conclusion.
Submit a monthly sales report.
Maintain an updated customer data base.
Obtain information on competitors products pricing policies and business strategies.
Assist with technical queries.
Assist with product launches technical presentations and trade shows.
Attend regular Sales and Projects meetings.
In order to be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
Matric.
Formal electrical qualification A recognised Electrical Trade is essential.
Electrical Diploma or N3 qualification
Experience in Generators is essential.
Experience and proven track record in the sales field.
Experience in understanding how MV installations work
Proficient in MS Office
Valid drivers Licence
This is an On the Road position so you will need to be willing to travel extensively including frequent overnight stays away from home base.
