Job Description
This position is remote and fieldbased in the Worcester MA area. Employees must be located in the Worcester MA area to be considered for this position.

We partner with city and state agencies utilities homeowners and business owners across the U.S. to build a just andequitable transition to the lowcarbon economy. With the passage of state and federal climate policy utility programs are rapidly evolving to align with carbon reduction goals. Inspectors and auditors are critical catalysts in getting energy measures implemented. This is an exciting time to work as an energy inspector!

CET offers excellent benefits including vacation holiday and personal/sick time; medical dental and vision insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; and a retirement plan with a company match. This is a fulltime salaried exempt remote position with 8hour shifts Monday through Friday.
Mileage Reimbursement: CET pays mileage at the prevailing IRS mileage rate.
Home Office Stipend: CET provides a monthly $85 stipend for your home internet and/or phone expenses.

In this role you will:
- Conduct energy audits of existing homes as well as inspections of weatherization and HVAC installations
- Use software quantify savings and produce reports documenting recommendations including building electrification opportunities
- Provide excellent customer service during and after the audit or inspection. In particular: listening to customers to understand their needs and motivations; clearly and intelligently answering customer questions as they relate to energy efficiency and electrification; effectively communicating recommended energysaving measures; following up with customers as needed.
- Ensure that recommendations comply with program requirements for incentives and rebates.
- Conduct combustion safety and other diagnostic tests.
- Analyze usage data
Youre a great fit for this exciting role in energy efficiency if you have:
- Minimum 1 years experience working in energy efficiency ispreferred with BPI certification. You may have worked as a Home Inspector HVAC Installer Energy Specialist Home Energy Auditor or Energy Technician.
- Experience working in weatherization & HVAC installations (preferred).
- Strong math skills with excellent understanding of geometry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with various utility program offerings and analyzing usage patterns.
- Experience with Salesforce Microsoft Office and modelingsoftware preferred.
- Ability to work independently and spend the majority of time in the field while also collaborating with CETs Technical and Operations teams.
- Must be able to pass a drug test MVR and background check.
This position performs site visits in person in Massachusetts and will need to travel to and around Worcester MA daily.
Driving is an essential function of this role and employment with CET is contingent upon an acceptable driving record. Applicants with Type A violations on their motor vehicle record check may be deemed ineligible for hire based on the nature severity and timing of the offense.
