Job Title: Manufacturing Intern

The Manufacturing Intern at ACT Aerospace will support the production team by assisting in various manufacturing processes. This role provides handson experience in a fastpaced aerospace environment and offers opportunities to learn about process improvement safety protocols production planning quality control and the operation of specialized equipment. The intern will work under the guidance of experienced professionals gaining skills crucial for a successful career in aerospace manufacturing.
Assist with Production: Support production by handling materials preparing components and operating basic manufacturing equipment under supervision.
Support Quality Control: Conduct inspections and measurements to ensure products meet ACT Aerospace standards.
Data Collection and Analysis: Gather data from the production line to monitor performance identify trends and suggest improvements.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to identify bottlenecks and participate in Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
Safety and Compliance: Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements attending safety meetings and training sessions.
Documentation and Reporting: Help maintain accurate records document processes and compile reports as directed.
Equipment Maintenance Support: Participate in minor equipment maintenance troubleshooting and setup tasks.
CrossDepartment Collaboration: Work with departments like engineering and quality assurance to understand how manufacturing integrates with other areas of ACT Aerospace.
Educational Background: Currently enrolled in an associates or bachelors degree program in Manufacturing Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and tools; familiarity with data entry and Microsoft Office Suite.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills and a teamoriented mindset; able to work collaboratively and follow instructions accurately.
Analytical Skills: Detailoriented with the ability to analyze data identify trends and suggest improvements.
Physical Ability: Capable of standing for extended periods lifting up to 25 pounds and working in a factory environment.
Preferred: Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
