About SilverRide
SilverRide is a pioneer awardwinning and fully licensed TNC operator that facilitates assisted ride services to a broad range of individuals and organizations who need additional rider support during their trip. Weve provided over a million rides for seniors people living with disabilities and others since our founding in 2007.
We help clients get things done socialize and have enriching life experiences. This is accomplished via doorthroughdoor service helping folks from inside their homes (maybe downstairs or inandout of a wheelchair) to the vehicle and from the vehicle inside wherever they are going. This can include taking them to the doctor grocery shopping to a ball game for a walk out on a date basically anything you can imagine a dignified older person might want. We have no client age restrictions so folks of all ages with mobility challenges use SilverRide. More info is atSilverRide.
Whats a Driver Companion
Were looking for reliable friendly rideshare drivers who not only enjoy driving meeting new people and making money but who also take pride and fulfillment through helping those who need a little extra assistance. Most of our clients dont need much physical assistance but they count on SilverRide for the guarantee of assistance if they do need it which gives them peace of mind. Pay is weekly via direct deposit.
Were small like a family and will always staff our office such that we will get to know you. We spend lots of time with our clients on the phone and so apply extra office resources to them and to you.
Requirements
Application Requirements
Age 21or older unless state or local statutes require an older age limit.
Valid U.S. drivers license for at least 3yearsfrom the state in which you will be driving with a clean driving record. A driving record check will be completed and reviewed before your authorized to join the network. No DUI/DWI are allowed within past 10 years no more than 2moving violations in the past 3years.
Pass FTA and state drug and alcohol tests and agree to random testing while you are active in SilverRides driver network (if you want to be able to service clients who have this requirement. Not all SilverRide clients have this requirement).
A willingness to be fingerprinted and then pass a criminal background check.
Minimum of 7year background check
No felonies or charges involving violence
Not on the National Sex Offender Registry
Meet SilverRides credentialing requirements related to the knowledge and proficiency on the senior condition ADA physical transfers safety and more. SilverRides network of drivers provides service to riders for transit agencies healthcare providers and senior service organizations that can have heavy compliance and credentialing requirements. SilverRide is an expert in these requirements and can assist you in filling in any gaps you may have so that these driving opportunities are available to you.

Drivers must agree to take passengers with service animals. Even if a driver has allergies the law requires that the driver take the rider and service animal.
4door vehicle that is 2015or newer with 5 to 8 passenger seats including driver (not an SUV unless it is low to the ground).
Current valid vehicle registration.
Proof of insurance in your name. Several personal auto insurers offer specific coverage for transportation network company drivers.
Your vehicle will have to pass an inspection as required by your state.
