Our School- St. Benedict Catholic School is a Preschool Grade 8 Catholic school located in North Seattle just south of Greenlake. It is our goal to educate the whole child providing high quality academic instruction in the context of a loving and vibrant Catholic community. As our mission states:

St Benedict Catholic School nurtures the individual fosters intellectual curiosity encourages spiritual and personal growth supports loving relationships and promotes caring service to the community.

The school is unique to North Seattle because of its enrollment (currently 200students) low class sizes (18 student average) and diverse population. The school currently employs 13 classroom teachers 8 specialist teachers and 4 instructional aides.

The Position- St. Benedict Catholic School in Seattle is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Overnight Janitor(15 - 20 hours per week at a mutually agreed upon schedule) to help keep our campus clean safe and ready for students and staff each day. This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent evening work in a quiet and independent environment. The role involves light janitorial duties across key school areas for 34 hours each weeknight.

Key Responsibilities-

Clean and sanitize restrooms classrooms offices and common areas
Sweep mop and/or vacuum floors as needed
Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the building
Refill paper towels toilet paper and soap dispensers
Wipe down high-touch surfaces desks and doorknobs
Perform basic cleanup of spills or messes as needed
Secure building at the end of shift (lock doors/windows set alarms)
Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Facilities Manager or Principal

Qualifications-

Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required
Ability to work independently and stay on schedule
Dependable punctual and detail-oriented
Capable of light physical work including lifting (up to 50 lbs) bending and standing
Must pass a background check and complete Archdiocese of Seattle Safe Environment training

Compensation-

Competitive hourly wage ($22.00 - $25.00) based on experience
Approximately 1520 hours per week

Benefits:No benefits are offered with this part-time position.
