LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT INSOLVENCY & BANKRUPTCY (SACRAMENTO)

Fennemore has an excellent opportunity in our Sacramento California office for a fulltime LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT INSOLVENCY & BANKRUPTCYto join our growing team. This new onsite position is suited for a reliable accurate productive and selfmotivated individual who is intelligent and resourceful. This team member will provide support to various insolvency and bankruptcy attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with clients other offices and administration telephonically inperson and via email.
  • Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents including drafting proofreading and formatting legal documents including petitions schedules and motions. Assist in service of the same.
  • Document Management: Accurate filing and organization of legal documents both electronically and physically.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and calendar meetings hearings and depositions. Coordinate with trustees court personnel and clients on timesensitive matters. Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reimbursements.
  • Client Intake: Participate in opening files coordinating conflict changes and preparing engagement letters.
  • Billing Support: Assist in tracking time and processing proformas to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Teamwork:Collaborate effectively with other legal support staff and attorneys in and out of the office working as a team to achieve common goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree desired but not required. 5 years of related legal administrative assistant experience with a strong focus on insolvency/bankruptcy law.
  • Indepth knowledge of federal and bankruptcy court procedures and filing systems.
  • Adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct especially to standards governing confidentiality and the ability to carefully handle and protect sensitive information.
  • Strong knowledge of the English language including excellent spelling grammar punctuation form and style.
  • Proficiency in the standard collection of Microsoft Office software DocuSign Adobe or Kofax document management and time entry systems. iManage and Intapp are a plus.
  • Superior organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects to completion on a deadline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
