Reports to: SHAWCO Law Project Manager
You are tasked with editing the curriculum and volunteer workbooks and ensuring that the session topics are relevant.
Duties:
- Ensure that the curriculum is up to date with recent case law and statute place a huge emphasis on informing the learners of the basic human rights thorough application of the Constitution.
- Find relevant documentaries pertaining to the topics.
- Editing the curriculum to include relevant legal topics for the programme.
- Creating and incorporating interactive activities such as debates and role play into the curriculum.
Requirements:
- Be a registered UCT law student in the academic year(s).
- Completion of the Constitutional Law course (PBL200W).
- Be committed to the mission of SHAWCO organization.
- Have excellent research skills written communication skills knowledge of the law and organizational skills.
- Be passionate about community development.
- Having previous experience in leadership specifically within SHAWCO would be advantageous.
- Be in good academic standing.
