QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate required.
- Active and enrolled in a College or University degree program required.
- Majors preferred: Business Administration Management Information Systems Marketing and Management Concentrations; Communication Studies Journalism Human Services Health Sciences African American Studies Media and Screen Studies
- Participant in a College or University Coop program (with or without credits) required.
- Interest in health care or scientific research field is strongly preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Center for Faculty Development & Diversity seeks a motivated student to join the department. The position includes a variety of projects with a focus on two main areas communications and program support. The student will be trained on internal registration and database systems Interwoven (Content Management System) Wordpress Microsoft Publisher Adobe PhotoShop and other software applications as needed. Basic skills in Microsoft Office especially Excel are required to be successful in this position.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAMS:
Manage the collection and organization of application materials for two summer research programs for underrepresented minority college students
Coordinating student trainee onboarding process
Organization and scheduling of events and orientations for student summer programs
Refine and administer surveys to track progress and satisfactions of alumni.
Perform data analysis used for grantwriting and proposals for future program funding
Assist in maintaining databases of applicants and alumni distribution lists and contact lists.
Create marketing materials for Summer Programs programs and published resources as needed; such as flyers brochures programs etc.
Assist in designing and maintaining program blogs.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Create marketing materials for programs and published resources as needed; such as flyers brochures postcards etc.
Serve as the Centers liaison with BWH Public Affairs to ensure appropriate coverage of events
Use MailChimp to maintain email distribution lists enewsletters and email templates
EVENT PLANNING AND SUPPORT:
Providing administrative support and managing online applications for the English as a Scientific Language program
Staff CFDD events and programs; responsibilities include registration signin preparing of course materials and other logistics
Tracking program evaluations and attendance information using database software
Manage recognition awards project involves collecting nominations organizing the review committee and announcing the awards
