Job Description
Job Title: CAN Day Shift - Long-term Care
Location: Pleasanton CA
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
- Assists patients with personal hygiene including bathing (bed bath shower tub) showering oral care hair care nail care and shaving ids patients with dressing and undressing ensuring appropriate attire for comfort and dignity.
- Assists with toileting needs including offering bedpans urinals and commodes; providing incontinence care and changing briefs as needed; and assisting with pericare.
- Assists patients with transfers (e.g. bed to chair chair to toilet bed to stretcher) using proper body mechanics and assistive devices (e.g. gait belt mechanical lifts).
- Aids with ambulation providing support and ensuring patient safety to prevent falls.
- Repositions bedridden or immobile patients every two hours (or as directed) to prevent pressure injuries and promote circulation. Assists with range of motion exercises as delegated by the nurse.
