Job Description

Summary/Objective

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients to drive sales growth. This role leverages a strong understanding of the core customer base and product offerings while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the order and delivery process.

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with vendors and an assigned customer portfolio collaborating with branch associates to ensure customer satisfaction with our products and services from order to delivery.
  • Conduct regular inperson visits to engage with new and existing clients managing sales performance within an established customer base while actively seeking to expand it.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by collaborating with management to develop effective sales strategies and target new accounts.
  • Perform various duties including providing product quotations problem resolution and executing order fulfillment based on customer needs.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape within the territory formulate sales strategies and communicate these strategies to management for alignment.
  • Continuously enhance sales skills and product knowledge to maintain a professional image.
  • Collaborate with customers vendors and internal departments to efficiently resolve servicerelated issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities including calls orders and any customer or vendor relationship issues.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts for assigned territory and undertake additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a relevant industry is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in the water and/or wastewater sectors is a plus.
  • A successful candidate will be resultsdriven selfmotivated and capable of completing tasks efficiently while fostering relationships in a teamoriented environment.
  • Excellent communication time management and organizational skills are essential.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities leadership skills and active listening are required.
  • Selfmotivated with the capacity to multitask and adapt quickly to new information.

Compensation

The compensation package includes a base salary of $57000 per year plus a commission that can yield a total compensation ranging from $125000.00 $200000.00 annually.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Sales Business or related field OR
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a relevant industry is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel.
