Position: Pre-Sales Systems Engineer Business Solutions
Location: On-site Richmond Hill ON

Reports To: Senior Manager Sales Engineering Business Solutions
We are seeking a highly motivated Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to join our Business Solutions team. In this client-facing role you will be responsible for providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle working closely with the sales team partners and customers to understand their needs and design optimal solutions. This position requires a mix of technical proficiency business acumen and strong communication skills with frequent interprovincial travel expected.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospects partners and customers across various segments (resellers end-users distributors)
Lead technical discovery sessions to assess customer needs and propose effective solutions
Collaborate with Account Managers to build and execute strategic sales plans aligned with partner and customer objectives
Develop and present detailed proposals RFP/RFI responses and technical documentation
Be the primary technical point of contact for assigned partners and customers offering trusted guidance and solutions
Articulate technical value propositions product differentiators and architectural designs to both technical and executive audiences
Work cross-functionally with internal teams (sales marketing product and solution specialists) and partner teams (technical sales professional and managed services) to create go-to-market strategies
Provide training on both new and existing products to internal teams and external stakeholders
Communicate technology concepts effectively through whiteboarding visual aids (Visio) and technical documentation
Gather customer feedback and relay insights to the Product Management team for roadmap consideration
Manage multiple concurrent opportunities while maintaining a high-quality customer experience
Maintain accurate technical records in CRM systems including opportunity status contact information and engagement history
Support and/or lead technical training events and enablement sessions for partners and internal teams
Travel across provinces as required for customer meetings events and training sessions
Diploma in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related technical field
3 years of experience in a pre-sales systems engineering or solutions architecture role
Proven ability to manage the end-to-end technical sales cycle and contribute to strategic wins
Experience building strong relationships with channel partners and stakeholders at all levels
Excellent public speaking presentation and technical writing skills (RFP experience preferred)
Demonstrated technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Solid technical knowledge of:
Wi-Fi Ethernet Switching Routing Firewalls and Network Access Control (NAC)
IP Cameras physical security systems and sensors (asset)
Python and API integrations (asset)
Familiarity with whiteboarding Visio diagrams and other technical communication tools
Industry-recognized certifications (e.g. CCNA CWNP CompTIA etc.) are strong assets
Experience working with vendors or resellers is preferred
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
