Job Description
The Middle School Math Teacher will be responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students. He/she will provide a Catholic education through excellent academic and extracurricular programs that promote leadership achievement and service within the church and community. The Math position is for 678 Math including Honors 7 and 8th. This is a fulltime benefit eligible 10month teaching position.
Essential Functions
- Follows and maintains knowledge of all AOB policies and procedures.
- Implement lesson plans utilizing a variety of techniques to motivate challenge and engage students.
- Plan and execute an instructional program that upholds the values and ideals of the Catholic Church.
- Create an instructional environment conducive to learning that is appealing and organized.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional empathetic and timely manner.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the Catholic mission and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Safely and actively supervise students both inside and outside of the classroom.
- Expertly integrate G Suite for Education into a 21st Century classroom.
- Meet the needs interests and abilities of students in accordance with the
curriculum. Effective instruction will include differentiated learning.
Position Qualifications
- Degree in math or Education with a math concentration
- MSDE teacher certification in Education for Math or the desire to obtain this
- Knowledge of curriculum and principles and practices of pedagogy
- Must be proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons as well as enriching and differentiating instruction
- Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of a state and federal
fingerprint background check completion of VIRTUS Training and completion of all necessary paperwork.
Range: $48000 $58000 Annualized
