Job Description
Primary Function
WorWic Community College continuously accepts applications for parttime credit faculty to teach courses in our Health Professions division which includes Computed Tomography (CT) Emergency Medical Services Nursing Occupational Therapy Assistant Physical Therapist Assistant and Radiologic Technology departments.
Parttime instructors in this category teach courses that support many occupational education and transfer degree options for our students.
We are currently filling vacancies for:- PartTime Nursing Faculty
- PartTime Occupational Therapy Assistant Faculty
Essential Duties
The following list is not intended as nor should it be construed as exhaustive of all responsibilities skills or working conditions associated with these positions.
- Creates and manages an environment conducive to the students learning of credit course material
- Prepares and uses course syllabi and recommends appropriate textbooks
- Meets all scheduled learning experiences including the final examination
- Maintains student records
- Submits copies of course syllabi copies of tests and the telephone number and hours he or she may be contacted
- Submits attendance rosters midterm grades final grades and other information to the vice president for enrollment management and student services within the established time frame each semester
- Conducts assigned classes in accordance with the catalog descriptions and the stipulations of the department and the college
- Performs other duties as assigned by the department head
Minimum Requirements
Requirements for education and experience will vary depending on the subject area. Applicants must meet all requirements set forth by the governing accreditation body. Generally applicants should possess at least a bachelors degree or substantial experience in their field of expertise.
Preference will be given to applicants who possess a relevant masters degree and can demonstrate prior teaching experience.Supplemental Information
