Job Description
Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for assistant coaches for the followingSpring sports at Thurston High School:
- Baseball
- Softball
- Track & Field
- Golf
- Tennis
- LaCrosse
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Coaching experience at the high school level in the sport/activity for which your are applying;
- Knowledge of and experience in the sport/activity for which you are applying;
- Ability and experience working with high school students;
- Ability and experience working with parents fellow coaches and school district staff;
- Effective and positive communication skills;
- Ability to work within school district guidelines and budget;
- Valid First Aid card;
- Availability for daily practices and matches;
- Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities;
- Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations;
- Good organizational skills;
- Ability to pass a preemployment drug screen and criminal background check;
- Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.
Salary:
Stipend will be based on the type of sport/activity and your previous paid assistant coaching/activity leading experience in the sport/activity for which you are applying.
