Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team based in Macclesfield with some travel to our other four sites in Cheshire when required.

Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader you will be responsible for all aspects of Maintenance and repair work to machinery and buildings at the four Gradus/Gerflor sites.

Hours

The role is on a day shift Monday Friday 08:00 to 16:45. Our Engineers also benefit from 07:00 15:00 on a Friday after their probationary period has been passed. The role will also involve some out of hours work when necessary but this is occasional.

The person

Essential

  • Educated to HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

  • Experience in an engineering maintenance or service role is essential.

  • Excellent fault finding skills are crucial especially; motor drives temperature controllers able to fault find on PLC and other control systems.

  • Competent in mechanical repairs

  • Ability to facilitate repairs under pressure and with excellent attention to detail

  • Driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience carrying out preventative maintenance tasks

  • Extensive Electrical knowledge 17th Edition progressing to 18th

  • Flexible and able to adapt to situations as they occur

  • Able to work in a team and independently.

  • IT literate; including Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word Outlook) Gradus CMMS system.

  • Familiar with building maintenance tasks
