Position Overview
As a School Psychologist at Ednovate you will play a critical role in ensuring that students receive the social emotional and mental health supports necessary to thrive in school and life by providing a comprehensive range of psychological services. Working closely with students staff agencies and families you will oversee testing counseling and consulting administer and interpret psychological assessments provide recommendations regarding the evaluation and placement of students and coordinate behavior management programs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in adolescent mental health looking to create positive multigenerational change in a collaborative resultsoriented environment. This is a fulltime exempt role that reports to the Director of Special Education.
What Youll Do
Provide direct support to students. Provide appropriate psychoeducational assessments based on students needs including but not limited to Initial Evaluations Triennial Evaluations Manifestation Determinations Functional Analyses and SocioEmotional Evaluations. Develop SMART goals and objectives for students. Maintain accurate data on students including present levels of performance and intervention strategies. Adjust plans and intervention strategies as needed based on student progress.
Collaborate with staff and stakeholders. Actively participate in and facilitate Individualized Educational Program (IEP) meetings. Interpret results of psychoeducational assessments. Work as part of a team to determine special education eligibility make program recommendations and develop coherent and comprehensive individual behavior support plans (including Positive Behavior Intervention plans). Collaborate with school staff around RTI implementation mental health and SEL initiatives across tiers Student Study Team meetings and crisis planning. Consult with parents teachers and other staff regarding accommodations needed for a specific student
Manage and drive continuous improvement in special education. Establish and monitor necessary caseloads. Work with schools and staff to plan assessments and meetings. Act as liaison between public and private agencies and county programs. Submit records reports and assignments promptly and efficiently. Develop coordinate and provide inservice training to staff parents and agency personnel. Supervise psychology interns as necessary. Regularly attend network School Psychologist professional development sessions and meetings.

Were Looking For
Masters degree in Educational Psychology or related field required
California Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS) with an authorization in School Psychology required
Experience in crisis prevention and intervention with adolescents required
The ability to counsel students in individual and group situations and write coherent and comprehensive psychological reports required
Knowledge of federal and state laws and procedures pertaining to special education strongly preferred
Knowledge of psychological and educational techniques tests materials methods theories and trends in assessing and identifying student learning and behavior characteristics and special education curriculum strongly preferred
