The Breiner School of Nursing at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a Maternal Child Health Nursing (specifically Child Health Nursing) Instructor/Assistant Professor. The home campus for this position is Bloomsburg with the expectation of serving a multicampus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. About the Department: The Breiner School of Nursing Bloomsburg offers outstanding CCNE accredited BSN MSN and DNP programs as well as the only Nurse Anesthetist program in the PA State System of Higher Education which is offered in collaboration with Geisinger Health System. The Breiner School of Nursing boasts high NCLEX pass rates and outstanding clinical experiences at all levels in partnership with regional health care providers. The Lock Haven Campus is accredited by ACEN and offers ASN and RN BSN programs. The Mansfield Campus is accredited by ACEN and offers the BSN major. Duties
This position may require development and teaching of courses online. The maternal child health nursing faculty position encompasses classroom and clinical teaching for junior level students in the maternalchild health course. Instructional delivery can occur through online inperson and blended instructional methods on the main campus or at offsite educational locations. Voluntary summer/winter contracts may be available. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching research and service and show potential for a productive research/scholarship program. Professional development support is available to support ongoing research and to obtain a doctoral degree. The successful candidate will need to complete distance education training programs as made available by the University within two years of hire for the purpose of teaching in a multicampus environment with remote teaching needs.
