K8 Summer Program Intervention Teacher

Job Goal: The Summer Intervention Teacher will provide daily targeted small group intervention to identified students in the areas of reading and/or math using district approved intervention materials.

Camp Sessions:

Dates: July 717 and July 2131
Workdays: Monday Thursday
Kickoff Meeting: July 1 8:00 AM 12:00 PM

Compensation:

$2000 stipend per summer session

Reports to: Summer School Building Administrator

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with a teaching certificate required.
Experience in education youth development or camp programming
Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
Ability to collaborate with educators and administrators to support student learning.
Ability to adapt instruction to students interests and needs.
Effective communication and organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide targeted intervention to small groups of students Monday Thursday
Utilize District Provided Curriculum for instruction
Supervise lunch and recess to ensure student safety and engagement (when needed)
Foster an inclusive supportive and respectful classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to align intervention educational goals.
Participate in coaching sessions including Data Studies and Plan/Teach/Debrief meetings with the School Improvement Coach
