  • K8 Summer Program Intervention Teacher

    Job Goal: The Summer Intervention Teacher will provide daily targeted small group intervention to identified students in the areas of reading and/or math using district approved intervention materials.

    Camp Sessions:

    • Dates: July 717 and July 2131
    • Workdays: Monday Thursday
    • Kickoff Meeting: July 1 8:00 AM 12:00 PM

    Compensation:

    • $2000 stipend per summer session

    Reports to: Summer School Building Administrator

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree with a teaching certificate required.
    • Experience in education youth development or camp programming
    • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
    • Ability to collaborate with educators and administrators to support student learning.
    • Ability to adapt instruction to students interests and needs.
    • Effective communication and organizational skills.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provide targeted intervention to small groups of students Monday Thursday
    • Utilize District Provided Curriculum for instruction
    • Supervise lunch and recess to ensure student safety and engagement (when needed)
    • Foster an inclusive supportive and respectful classroom environment.
    • Work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to align intervention educational goals.
    • Participate in coaching sessions including Data Studies and Plan/Teach/Debrief meetings with the School Improvement Coach
