KREBS Pumps Cyclones and Valves (PCV)
We are looking for a highly motivated Global Logistics Specialist for the PCV Business Line of FLS. In collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing Manager and Global Product Line Managers this role will be at the forefront of managing our global logistics service provider (LSP) network driving PCV order intake enhancing profitability and significantly reducing lead times for our customers through innovative supply chain initiatives. Key responsibilities include cultivating a strong relationship with the global LSPs ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with our strategic goals. Working together with the regional order teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Overseeing global supplier dispatch scheduling implementing strategies that lead to shorter lead times and optimized logistics spend.
About the department
The Global Logistics Specialist is a key role within the Global Product Line Management (GPLM) department for some of the highest revenue earning product lines (KREBS centrifugal slurry pumps hydrocyclones and knife gate valves) within FLSmidth. The department leads all strategy and technical support for these three products. GPLM responsibilities include strategic sourcing pricing margin strategy driving product developments including guidance and rollout product technical expertise general marketing support and much more.

Essential Job Functions
Primary point of contact for Logistics Service Providers (LSP) within the PCV business line ensuring communication and collaboration.
Proactively oversee mapping for all major PCV trade routes to assess our current carrier setup & explore opportunities for improved lead times.
Oversee global supplier dispatch scheduling monitoring reports on dispatch deadlines and coordinating with regional order teams to ensure timely deliveries.
Collaborate with LSPs global suppliers and local order teams to forecast shipping schedules aiming to minimize transit times.
Assist in managing key LSPs and actively participate in the annual quoting process striving to secure the lowest possible costs for each shipping route.
Spearhead the development of an Integrated Logistics System (ILS) platform to enhance operational efficiency.
Work alongside trade compliance teams to effectively manage tariffs and establish a global platform for logging HS codes by legal entity.
Requirements
Minimum 2years of experience working w/ high aftermarket volume products such as in mining
Proven networking stakeholder management and communication skills
Proactive selfdriven work ethic and the ambition to take full ownership of responsibilities.
Ability to drive solutions and eliminate inefficient processes.
Desire to continuously learn and develop new and existing skills.
Passion for collaboration innovation and taking on challenges in a dynamic environment
Competitive individual determined to exceed targets assigned to them
Ability to travel to supplier sites as required
