Job Description

Were on the lookout for a commercially minded and proactive Business Development & Marketing Advisor to join our Sydney office.

This role plays a key part in driving the implementation of the firms National Business Development (BD) and Marketing Plan while also supporting the strategic growth of our Sydney practice. Working closely with partners and senior lawyers you will develop and execute BD and marketing initiatives that enhance client engagement brand visibility and business growth.

What youll be doing:

  • Partnering directly with Sydneybased Partners and senior lawyers to support their business development goals and client growth strategies
  • Leading the planning and of client eventssetting the strategy managing logistics and ensuring exceptional delivery
  • Driving tailored BD initiatives across key sectors and practice groups with a focus on crossselling and client relationship development
  • Collaborating with the People & Development team in Sydney to deliver the firms PLATFORM & ELEVATE event series
  • Acting as the key contact for Sydneybased sponsorshipsmanaging relationships ROI tracking and activation
  • Preparing client and market insights fee reports and other commercial analysis to inform strategic decisions
  • Supporting the development of legal directory submissions and contributing to award nominations
  • Managing Sydneyrelated marketing content on the firms website and intranet and contributing to firmwide social media and emarketing campaigns
  • Contributing to national marketing projects and initiatives as a member of the national BD & Marketing team
  • Helping maintain and enhance the firms CRM and marketing platforms supporting effective client engagement and communications

What were looking for:

  • Proven experience in business development and/or marketingideally within a professional services or legal environment
  • Strong event planning and skills with the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to delivery
  • A confident communicator who can engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels including Partners and senior leaders
  • Commercially minded with the ability to interpret and use data to guide decisions and measure impact
  • Highly organised detailoriented and able to manage competing deadlines with ease
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset and a proactive solutionsfocused approach to challenges
  • Techsavvy and comfortable using the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook Teams Word Excel and PowerPoint.

The national Business Development & Marketing team is a small dynamic and highperforming team led by the Director of Business Development & Marketing from our Brisbane office. Working in different offices the team meets virtually both formally and socially creating a dynamic and collaborative team environment. Members of the team have been described as down to earth professional hard working and collegiate and the team is wellrespected by the firm.
