Job Description
Overview
Work Arrangement:
***After the initial training period this is a hybrid role working onsite in our Sioux Falls SD office.***
The Vice President Embedded Finance Solution Architect is responsible for defining the overall architecture ensuring seamless integration with thirdparty financial services and optimizing APIdriven transaction flows. This role is responsible for collaborating with engineering product and business teams to align technology solutions with business objectives while maintaining compliance with financial regulations and security best practices. The ideal candidate is responsible for leading architectural decisions selecting the right technologies and driving innovation in the Embedded Finance vertical for payments banking lending and digital wallets to build and enhance our platforms capabilities.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
1. Designs endtoend financial solutions ensuring they align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
2. Defines APIfirst architecture for embedding financial services (payments lending banking etc. into platforms.
3. Develops reference architectures for integrating thirdparty financial services payment processors and banking platforms.
4. Guides the development of eventdriven and microservices architectures for financial transactions.
5. Defines integration strategies for thirdparty APIs including payment gateways fraud detection KYC/AML services and partners.
6. Defines the tech stack and tooling for financial services integration cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
7. Aligns financial architecture with business goals ensuring the Embedded Finance technology roadmap supports growth and scalability.
8. Designs secure authentication and authorization frameworks (OAuth 2.0 JWT API key management).
9. Implements realtime and batch processing workflows for payments settlements and reconciliations.
10. Works closely with engineering teams to ensure solution feasibility and .
11. Partners with product managers to translate business requirements into scalable financial solutions.
Qualifications
Education/Experience Requirements
An Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
10 years of experience in financial services.
58 years or more of experience in Solution architecture cloud architecture and/or enterprise architecture.
Prior experience in payment processing digital banking lendingasaservice (LaaS) or embedded finance platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
SelfStarter who can work independently in a selfmanaged team environment.
Experience in designing multitenant architectures.
Understanding of compliance frameworks including PCIDSS SOC 2 GDPR PSD2 Open Banking NACHA (ACH payments) KYC AML and fraud detection best practices in financial services.
TOGAF CPP CFP AWS Certified Solution Architect.
