Job Description

Essence of the job:

Business Development & Fundraising Lead will be working closely with the Impact Fundraising Team you will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities developing compelling funding proposals and nurturing relationships with funders and partners. You will be instrumental in amplifying the organisations mission and driving measurable impact across the continent.

Qualification:

A degree in Business Communication Project Management or a related field.

Minimum Requirements:

3 years in a formal consulting environment focussed on fundraising grant writing business development or project management.

Proven track record in developing successful funding proposals.

Identify and evaluate funding opportunities including grants tenders and philanthropic partnership prospects.

Explore and research leads presented by the Impact Fundraising Team assessing their potential and developing actionable next steps.

Grant Proposal and Application Management

Lead the full lifecycle of grant applications including researching drafting coordinating with Impact Fundraising Team and submitting highquality proposals.

Work collaboratively across teams to ensure applications meet strategic objectives and donor requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement and Management.

Support and maintain relationships with funders donors and strategic partners in collaboration with Fundraising Task Team.

Maintain and update a centralised database of funding stakeholders funding opportunities and partnerships.

Maintain a dashboard to track and report on funding target progress and outcomes ensuring alignment with your funding targets.

Coordinate highlevel meetings with stakeholders ensuring clear objectives preparation and followup on actionable outcomes with the Impact Fundraising Team.

Support crossfunctional teams in the planning and of fundraising and partnership projects.
