Basic Function: The Recruiting Coordinator Human Resources plays a vital role in streamlining the hiring onboarding and retention process. Responsibilities include conducting background checks assisting with interviews scheduling interviews and training sessions managing internship programs and overseeing administrative tasks. This role ensures an efficient and positive recruitment experience by coordinating schedules reviewing resumes and facilitating new hire benefit orientations. Additionally the coordinator comanages the HR email inbox routes inquiries and serves as a backup for onboarding functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree
Previous experience in HR 13 years) recruiting or a related administrative role preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in HRIS systems such as Workday is a plus.
Ability to multitask prioritize workload and manage time effectively.
Essential Functions:
Conduct background checks for all employees contingent workers (CWs) independent contractors (ICs) and volunteers.
Manage Internship Programs ensuring a structured and beneficial experience for participants.
Assist with interviews including coordinating schedules and conduct in interviews.
Handle scheduling responsibilities related to recruitment and onboarding processes.
Send rejection notifications to candidates in a timely and professional manner.
Review resumes to assess qualifications and suitability for open positions.
Conduct new hire benefits orientations.
Enter CWs into Workday ensuring accurate and uptodate records.
Comanage the HR email inbox responding to inquiries and routing messages appropriately.
Route phone calls and provide assistance to employees and candidates.
Serve as a backup for the Onboarding Coordinator ensuring continuity of the onboarding process.
This position is based at Fairfield Universitys Fairfield CT campus.
Performs such other duties responsibilities and activities as required by supervisor and as departmental/University needs indicate.
