Are you passionate about supporting childrens communication and language development
We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join a thriving all through school in Barking & Dagenham. This role is perfect for a graduate with a background in Speech and Language Therapy who is looking to develop their skills in a schoolbased environment.
Speech and Language Teaching Assistant Job Summary
- Fulltime term time only Speech and Language Teaching Assistant role Contract until July 2025
- Ideal role for an aspiring Educational Psychologist or Speech and Language Therapist
- Role paying 400500 per week Paid weekly on PAYE basis
- Experience working with children with SEN is desirable
- FirstClass or 2:1 Psychology/Linguistics/ Speech & Language degree from a top 10 UK University
Speech and Language Teaching Assistant Job Role
- Be Patient empathetic and adaptable to the diverse needs of students.
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small group sessions to build students confidence and communication abilities.
- Help students access the curriculum by adapting learning materials and providing additional guidance where necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers SEN coordinators and therapists.
- Monitoring progress and adapting support to align with individual development plans.
Speech and Language Teaching Assistant School Details
