The Opportunity

Moosehead Breweries Limited is Canadas last major brewer still owned by Canadians. Moosehead has breweries in Saint John NB and Toronto ON with representation and presence in every market in Canada. The company operates with 3 simple and clear Values: Passion Courage and Respect.

The District Sales Manager will lead a team of professional Territory Managers that call on all channels of trade to deliver District Volume and Margin objectives. DSM will be responsible for coaching leading and developing Territory Managers to ensure an aligned approach to generating sales growth of Moosehead products along with our Partner brands in all channels of distribution retail onpremise and special events. The territory that this position will be responsible for is the Eastern Ontario.

What youll do

Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual Volume and Profit objectives
  • Lead manage and coach the Toronto District Sales team to create a highperforming culture focused on driving to achieve business results
  • Lead hiring onboarding training and development of sales staff
  • Lead performance review processes for Toronto District sales team
  • Lead of business development initiatives with LCBO the evolving Grocery retailers and OnPremise operators to achieve initiative objectives
  • Execute dedicated time for inmarket coaching and training with District Sales team working across our customer base
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales Key Account Manager and balance of sales team to develop key customer relationships and strategies
  • Work with sales team to implement new sales techniques to grow profit
  • Manage assigned cost budgets to or below Plan level
  • Leadership in all scheduled sales team calls and meetings
  • Promote entrepreneurial thinking and creative problem solving as to develop and execute new and innovative sales initiatives
  • Lead process development within this growing business unit to drive effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Work with Key Account Manager and Marketing team to provide marketplace intelligence to help shape Moosehead Brand and Sales strategies

What youll need

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience leading teams in Beverage Alcohol or CPG environment
  • Proven record of building talent and leading team to higher level of performance
  • Goal oriented sets high standards focused on results with demonstrated ability of meeting objectives
  • Dynamic and selfmotivated
  • Strong negotiation skills (influencing & communication skills are a must)
  • Strong strategic analytical problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Postsecondary graduate in a related discipline
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours which may include some evenings and weekends
