Job Description


Summary

Responsible for overseeing an area responsible for the timely and comprehensive investigation and processing of assigned claims.


Description

Logistics:

  • This is a fulltime position 40 HOW).
  • The ideal candidate will be required to work in either our Columbia SC or our Birmingham Alabama locations.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure the timely processing and adjudication of all claims.
  • Performs quality control reviews and/or monitor performance of staff to ensure appropriate understanding and utilization of applicable laws contract policies and procedures.
  • Monitors production and timeliness of work and maintains desk procedures.
  • Responsible for recruiting and hiring coaching and mentoring monitoring and evaluation and addressing all disciplinary issues in a timely manner.
  • Encourage staff in creating and maintaining a work environment with high morale and employee satisfaction through support of professional development training career growth and rewarding high performance.
  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with all internal and external customers.

To Qualify for This Position You Will Need:

  • Required Education: Bachelors Degree or Work Equivalency.
  • Four years job related work experience OR Associates and 2 years job related work experience.
  • Required Work Experience: 1 year of claims processing experience.
  • 1 year of lead experience (may be concurrent).
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational leadership decision making analytical problem solving interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of claims processing and related support systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Required Software and Other Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Work Environment: Typical office environment. Ability to travel as needed.

We Prefer That You Have:

  • Preferred Education: Bachelors degreein Business Management or Administration.
  • Preferred Work Experience: 6 yearsof claims processing experience. Previous supervisory experience or equivalent military experience in grade E4 of above.
  • Preferred Skills and Abilities: Strong presentation skills. Ability to persuade negotiate and influence.
