Reporting to the Executive Director the Director ofMarketing setsthe strategic direction and oversees project for all MGH RadiologyMarketing efforts.Incumbent identifies opportunities to build broad awareness of and generatedemand for MGH Radiology clinical programs procedures and practices amongreferring physicians and patients.

The Director of Marketing leads the charge tocreate new and innovative Marketing strategies to reach broader customer &consumer audiences. The Director is a strategic thinkerand an excellent communicator who demonstrates an ability to inspire others andbuild effective teams.

This creative position requires strong organizational leadershipand communication skills and excellent written and oral and solid computerskills.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management responsibility to include hiring and performance evaluations for marketing representative staff web development staff REMS operations manager and technical writer.
  • Partners with departments senior leadership team in development and implementation of a strategic plan that supports the mission vision and values of the Department and the institution.
  • Liaisons with the Chief Marketing officer for the hospital.
  • Devises and implements strategic plans to enhance business and improve clinical services provided by Mass General Imaging facilities on the main campus and communitybased imaging locations in Waltham Chelsea Revere; additional limited interaction with Danvers Nantucket Cottage and Marthas Vineyard hospital.
  • Identifies opportunities and oversees efforts to enhance the Departments relationship with MGH and nonMGHaffiliated referring physicians & patients.
  • Evaluates and assesses Marketing programs demonstrates value and impact and provides necessary action steps to improve program effectiveness.
  • Develops integrated promotional campaigns including traditional media digital and social platforms directed at prospective referring physicians and decisionmakers to increase referrals for imaging services & procedures.
  • Spearheads creation of advertising strategy and development of appropriate messages for target referring physician and patient audiences.
  • Establishes clear brand proposition and ensures that advertising and marketing across all communication media is aligned to Mass General Imaging brand identity guidelines keeping the brands message strong and clear.
  • Maintain and update as needed the Department of Radiology communication guidelines
  • Oversees design and production of marketing and educational collateral.
  • Supports strategies developed by web development team to enhance the Departments web presence.
  • Manages investment and operation of marketing software platforms to maximize internal utilization generate meaningful data to inform marketing efforts and optimize customer experience.

Monitorschanges to the Radiology marketplace and industry and adjusts marketing plansaccordingly.

Partnerswith other divisions of the Department to deliver high level of customerservice across all brand touch points to referring physician and patientaudiences including participation in departmentwide service improvementmeasurement analysis and plan development efforts.

Conducts ongoing analysis of service performance withdepartmental managers.

Brings forward to department leadership analysis ofreferral trends and opportunities to act upon data

  • Provides leadership for annual marketing planning and budgeting process and leads Marketing team in annual/quarterly/monthly plans and reviews.
  • Gathers information concerning competitor services and technologies and maintains an evolving competitive battle strategy.
  • Develops and maintains initiatives to closely align radiologists for the purpose of improving care and developing new or expanding existing programs and services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to align/enhance business development and marketing activities.
  • Maintains a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and salesforce.
