Intermediate Municipal/Land Development Engineer

Kingston ON

Be our next Intermediate Municipal/Land Development Engineer!

Your work environment at EXP

In this role you will be a part of the Infrastructureteam of the Land Development team based in our Kingston ON office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Provide detailed engineering design solutions and input on the design process for key complex projects including providing support to the team members
  • Write sign and seal reports/drawings as required
  • Review project designs specifications and contract documents
  • Monitor project schedule and budgets within your area of responsibility and report the status as required on a regular basis
  • Liaise with clients municipal approving authorities and contractors as needed
  • Pursue obtaining of all necessary approvals and permits for projects including those from municipalities and provincial agencies
  • Have a strong working knowledge and extensive experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Participate in business development efforts including writing and pricing proposal efforts securing new projects/clients as needed
  • Coordinate design and field staff required for internal project teams including directing coordinating and reviewing work done by staff
  • Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to at all sites

What your experience looks like

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the Municipal Infrastructure and land development design and construction
  • Brownfield redevelopment experience is an asset
  • University Bachelors degree in Civil engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft software applications
  • Working knowledge of Modelling programs for storm water management (PCSWMM XPSWMM HECRAS) and water distribution (WaterCAD WaterGEMS) is preferred but is not a requirement
  • Organized works well under pressure and able to deal with situations with tact
  • A valid drivers license and vehicle is required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teams
  • Ability to multitask is critical must be able to meet deadlines
