Job Description
- Highly sought after ACT Government Organisation
- Up to $71.22/Hour including Superannuation
- Contract until 31 December 2025 with possibility of extension
Our client is a large Government organisation who are seeking Facilites Manager to join their team.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for leading a small team to provide daytoday operational support and onsite assistance for all buildingrelated matters. The successful applicant will have demonstrated skills and experience in facilities management in the context of technologyenabled buildings and a strong customer service focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and motivate a small team responsible for providing buildingrelated services onsite.
- Oversee the facilitation and/or reporting of repairs and maintenance.
- With support of a team supervise and coordinate trades personnel and contractors engaged in the daily operation of the campus.
- Coordinate a range of capital works activities as well as building and grounds maintenance services ensuring that all works are completed in a safe effective and timely manner
- Undertake contract management responsibilities in relation to buildingrelated services.
- Develop and maintain facilityrelated policies guidelines and standard operating procedures including development of systems to monitor facility performance metrics reviews and reports as required.
Selection Criteria:
- An industryrecognised qualification in facilities management or equivalent work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hold or be willing to obtain training in Qualified Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator Workplace Health and Safety Officer/Advisor.
- Hold or be willing to obtain Fire Warden training.
- Hold or be willing to obtain first aid certification.
- Current ACT Drivers Licence
Desirable Experience:
- Skills and experience in security and emergency management.
On offer is a contract role until December 2025 with strong possibility of extension at a highly sought after Government organisation with a highly competitive hourly rate.
