Easterseals Florida is seeking a passionate innovative and dynamic Development Specialist to join our team of evaluators in Tampa. As a Development Specialist you will work with a team of professionals to deliver early intervention services to families in their natural environment. The primary responsibilities are to complete clinic evaluations and conduct provider visits for children until age 5 or when their goals are met. Easterseals Florida is seeking an individual who is able to develop positive relationships with children and families and is willing to coach and share their knowledge and skills with the families and other professionals.

A Snapshot of what youll do:

  • Complete eligibility evaluations for children referred by the Healthy Beginnings Entry Agency and determine eligibility for early intervention services.
  • Complete assessments/evaluations of the childs health and developmental status of the familys educational and support needs.
  • Use mediated learning strategies to support the family/caregiver and the childs interactions. Including the family/caregiver in all aspects of service design and delivery.
  • Completing evaluation reports and paperwork


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from a fouryear college or university; and one to two years related experience and or training
  • Proof of completion of Infant Toddler Development Specialist (ITDS) coursework
  • Experience with standardized testing is a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Ability to meet program deadlines.
  • Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle as required to drive for program related business
