WPM is looking for a Property Accountant to join our team in Owings Mills MD. As the Property Accountant you will maintain records of account receivables for properties under management.
***The rate of pay for this position is $21.83 per hour***
Essential Functions:
Ensures that all rentrelated monies received by the company are properly identified recorded deposited into the correct propertys bank account and recorded properly in the accounting system.
Ensures accuracy of leasing information entered into the accounting system.
Receives and reviews paperwork from properties pertaining to resident moves out preparing security disposition letters and requesting refunded security deposits from accounts payable.
Documents residents who are delinquent in their rent payments after the 5th day of each month prepares and signs Failure to Pay Rent Court Notices check requests and checks.
Prepares and sends paperwork to attorney for collection actions attending court with the attorney as required. Tracks late and court fees in the accounting system.
Notifies Property Managers of trial dates and case numbers providing theRent Court Agentwith documentation necessary for them to represent the company in Rent Court matters.
Prepares and sends late notices and monthly statements as needed.
Processes month end reports and files.
Provide support for 4 properties and all staff.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Skilled at an intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
Familiarity with Entrata or other property management accounting systems
Ability work effectively in teams
Ability to operate standard office equipment including but not limited to standard calculators copy machines fax machines telephones and computers
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks
Must possess strong research abilities
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to use tact in communicating difficult messages
