Job Summary: Hill York is seeking a Building Controls Account Executive to acquire new commercial accounts and develop relationships with owners engineers facility managers management companies and mechanical contractors. This role also involves managing existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate is a goaldriven sales professional with expertise in selling Building Automation Controls solutions including new construction service repair retrofit energy solutions and service agreements. The role requires collaboration with business development and operations teams focusing on Palm Beach Broward and Dade counties.

Account Executive Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and develop estimates quotes and bids for new and existing customers including preparing proposals based on the projects technical specifications and requirements.
  • Organize and prepare bid documentation to ensure accuracy of estimates.
  • Provide solutions and designs per the customers needs.
  • Develop sales leads qualify prospects and make sales calls.
  • Estimate bid propose negotiate and close jobs and contracts at qualified margins.
  • Identify and reach out to potential new customers through cold calling networking referrals and social media.
  • Sell to both Clevel and technical buyers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Provide technical and pricing support to field sales personnel and customers.
  • Develop relationships with customers to generate new business opportunities.
  • Continue to service the customer after the sale to ensure satisfaction and promote future business.
  • Provide excellent customer service when issues arise.
  • Act as a consultant to multiple levels of the customers organization by understanding their challenges and recommending services to ensure their building systems perform as required to achieve business goals.
  • Develop working relationships with business development operations customer service procurement and other cross functional teams.
  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Responsible for recording sales activities and opportunities in CRM.
  • Attending industry specific networking events to build a network of contacts and represent Hill York in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years commercial HVAC Experience with knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
  • Minimum of 3in the controls industry.
  • A minimum of 4 years in a sales position preferred.
  • Controls experience in the South Florida market.
  • Ability to walk jobs and occasionally climb ladders.
  • Proven record of achieving sales targets and quotas.
  • Strong understanding of building automation and controls.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience with CRM and prospecting tools.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to drive within the tricounty area.
