We are seeking a Product Engineer to design analyze and optimize scaffolding systems for various construction and industrial applications. This role involves structural and mechanical calculations drawing preparation product development and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills proficiency in structural analysis software and experience in scaffolding system design.
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations designs and drawings for products and newly developed systems to ensure compliance with industry local state and federal guidelines.
- Translate customer requirements into innovative product solutions progressing from concept and prototyping to full production.
- Model parts and components to support the design and development of new items for our product portfolio.
- Perform preliminary structural calculations and validate designs performing risk assessment using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural analysis software.
- Develop and test functional prototypes and preproduction models ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
- Conduct onsite testing and guide testing at national and international locations to assess product reliability and recommend enhancements.
- Oversee testing processes to obtain final accreditation and certification.
- Review refine and approve production drawings guiding detailers on best practices and professional presentation of shop drawings.
Qualifications :
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
The candidate is required to have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelors degree in Structural Mechanical or Civil Engineering (Masters preferred). Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Understanding of engineering codes standards and testing requirements.
- Knowledge of structural analysis for steel and aluminum structures.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk and Solidworks application in 2d & 3d working environments. (Knowledge of Navisworks Revit & Tekla will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in STAAD RISA Tekla & TEDDS for Word or other structural analysis/calculation packages will be advantageous.
- A working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects meet deadlines and work in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work with a crossfunctional team located internationally.
- Strong problemsolving skills with an innovative mindset for design improvements
- Understanding of project management to support the development of new products and supplier
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience with scaffolding formwork or temporary access structures is a plus.
- Familiarity with scaffolding standards such as ANSI CSA EN 12810 and EN 12811 AS/NZS is a plus.
- Previous experience in construction industrial design or structural engineering fields is a plus.
