Data Engineer Analytics & Cloud Automation (Hybrid)
Location: Somerset New Jersey (Hybrid 23 days in office per week)
Job Type: FullTime

Were looking for a Data Engineer Analytics & Cloud Automation to join our internal Digital Transformation team. In this role you will develop internal tools automate data workflows integrate cloud systems and build the technical foundation that supports business operations and strategic decisionmaking across CARIAN.
Responsibilities:
Design & Build Internal Data Tools: Develop backend data systems automation scripts and infrastructure that power internal dashboards KPIs and workflows.
Automate Business Processes: Use Python and cloud tools to create automations that streamline reporting improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work.
Cloud Integration & API Development: Set up and maintain cloudbased data environments (AWS preferred) and build API integrations to connect internal platforms and systems.
Support Operational Insights: Collaborate with internal business users to understand operational needs and build tools that help them access reliable realtime data.
Debug & Optimize Systems: Troubleshoot scripts debug performance issues and ensure the scalability and reliability of internal tools.
Collaborate with the Digital Transformation Team: Work closely with internal stakeholders analysts and business leads to develop solutions aligned with company priorities.
Qualifications:
23 years of experience in a data engineering analytics engineering or software development role with a focus on internal systems or operations.
Strong proficiency in Python for scripting automation and data process development.
Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and data models.
Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS Snowflake or Azure.
Experience with API development and integrating cloudbased applications.
Proficiency in reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau or Looker.
A strong understanding of business KPIs and how to build them into technical systems.
Clear communication skills for working with nontechnical internal users.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Data Science or a related fieldor equivalent experience.
Preferred:
Experience building internal tools or data products for enterprise teams.
Familiarity with ETL pipelines or data warehouse concepts.
Understanding of Agile development principles or experience working on a digital transformation team.
