Job Description
Responsibilities
The Technical Writer is responsible for creating and writing various types of user documents including howto guides references manuals cheat sheets or instructions.
- Explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language.
- Work with customers to translate their functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Ensures new and existing publications follow established documentation procedures.
- Leads internal process documentation.
- Evaluates existing publications for quality relevancy and accuracy.
- Responsible for creating documents from technical information provided by technical staff or ensuring documents produced by technical staff are consistent with formats and standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelors degree and five years in a technical or lead writing role
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Proven ability to distill complex information into clear concise text
- Demonstrated excellent writing and grammar skills and ability to work independently and deliver accurate content under deadline pressure
- Proven experience designing and delivering developeroriented documentation as well as working directly with development teams
- Experienced using multiple tools to develop base templates and manipulate output styles
- Possess a thorough understanding of software development (SDLC) IC ITE Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other key contract terminology
