Join a high-impact engineering team recognized for hands-on expertise in electrical engineering and semiconductor test systems. Youll benefit directly from mentorship in a collaborative learning-centric environment focused on skill growth innovation and operational excellence. Our team values open communication and cross-functional learning maintaining strong connections with both engineering and manufacturing groups.
As a Technical Support Engineer you will play a pivotal hands-on role in supporting the operation troubleshooting and continuous improvement of advanced burn-in and test equipment for semiconductor devices. Youll partner closely with the lead engineer following best practices in equipment maintenance diagnostics and process improvement. This is an environment where youll grow your skills across test engineering failure analysis data-driven troubleshooting and process knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Burn-In & Test Equipment Support: Operate monitor and maintain burn-in ovens and related hardware per established protocols.
Equipment Handling: Load unload configure and prepare boards and components safely (ESD/equipment awareness).
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and help repair test failures and equipment issues; escalate complex challenges thoughtfully.
Preventative Maintenance: Support preventative maintenance calibration activities; interface with vendors and facilities as needed.
Data Analysis & Failure Trends: Collect track and analyze test data (voltages currents yields) across varying conditions. Identify failure patterns and contribute to root cause analysis using statistical tools such as DOE (Design of Experiments) FMEA and SPC.
Process & Problem-Solving: Apply problem-solving techniques to determine root causes of failures; contribute to corrective/preventive actions and robust process improvements.
Documentation: Maintain operator instructions process flows calibration and maintenance records.
Logistics: Prepare modules/boards for offsite repair RMA or warranty shipment.
Technical Support: Interpret schematics and layouts; assist with debugging activities and basic custom board assembly.
Board/Pattern Support: Assist with pattern conversion board specification review and troubleshooting.
Semiconductor Process Flow: Gain and use a working knowledge of semiconductor device manufacturing and test flows; support process understanding in collaboration with process and design engineers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external equipment vendors on maintenance improvement and troubleshooting projects.
Test Equipment Operation: Use oscilloscopes signal generators multimeters and related measurement gear confidently.
Basic Scripting & Linux: Update/parse Python scripts for equipment or data analysis; use Linux commands for file/tool management.
Initiative & Communication: Clearly communicate findings solutions and trends to management and peers; contribute to a knowledge-sharing culture.
