New hires will receive a $2000 signon bonus paid out in phases within your first 6 months.
Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- You will be responsible for following our safety procedures to ensure the process is safe for yourself and those working around the machine.
- This is a maintenanceoriented position that requires attention to detail and ability to work in a team
- Follow safety procedures while using proper personal protective equipment machinery and tools.
- Recognize employee strengths and weaknesses and position them accordingly proactively regarding operations.
- Identify and communicate spare part needs.
- Maintain equipment and scheduling Performing preventative maintenance.
- Cleaning the inside outside and areas around the machine.
- Communicating with the team to ensure positive morale.
- Willingness to crosstrain in other positions and assist other employees as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Industrial/Outdoor work
- Environment Minimum of 1 year leadership experience in a Team Environment
- Experience operating a skid steer forklift frontend loader etc.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members and others.
