Job Description

TITLE:Student Specific ParaprofessionalQUALIFICATIONS:Associates degree two years of college or passed state assessment required as to ability to assist in the instruction of math reading and writing preferred. Special education experience is strongly preferred. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:The Student Specific Paraprofessional is expected to support students academic needs. In carrying out these responsibilities the student specific paraprofessional shall:Instruct student(s) as assignedFollow student specific programmingCollect and graph data if necessaryProvide reinforcement strategiesUse appropriate prompting proceduresAssist with Activities of Daily LivingExperience with behavior deescalation strategies preferred* Any such other related duties as may be assigned by the building principal or designee.The paraprofessional must also be able to communicate effectively with students and staff.
