DSHS DDA Lakeland Village RHC Attendant Counselor 1/Direct Support Professional

Are you a dedicated direct care professional looking for a meaningful career in healthcare Do you have a passion for supporting adults with intellectual disabilities If so we want you on our team!

We have immediate opening for all shifts for a Direct Support Professionals atLakeland Village Residential Habilitation Center. In this role you will coach teach and mentor adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a homelike environment working alongside a team of compassionate professionals who share your commitment to making a difference.

Some of what you will do:
  • Perform personal care for adults including hygiene grooming bathing and toileting.
  • Provide specialized direct care support and training.
  • Actively engage residents in all teaching opportunities to promote their maximum independence.
  • Provide intervention to residents with complex support and service needs.
  • Transport residents to appointments and activities on and off campus.
  • Document and report on care provided and any changes.

Who should apply
  • Professionals with a High School Diploma/GED OR One year of experience working with people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.
  • An existing Washington State Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus but not required.

Evening and Night shifts include a shift differential in addition to the standard compensation rate. Opportunities performed on site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5 premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
